Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the RowadX Community website (rowadx.com), applying for membership, participating in events, or engaging with our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use our services.

2. Community Membership

RowadX is a curated, application-based community. Membership is subject to:

• Submitting a complete and truthful application
• Review and approval by RowadX chapter leads
• Adherence to our Code of Conduct at all times
• Active participation in community activities

We reserve the right to accept, decline, or revoke membership at our sole discretion.

3. Code of Conduct

All RowadX members, organizers, and participants must:

• Treat all community members with respect and professionalism
• Maintain confidentiality of discussions shared in Founder Circles and private channels
• Not engage in harassment, discrimination, or any form of abusive behavior
• Represent their work, achievements, and credentials honestly
• Not use the community for unsolicited sales, spam, or self-promotion without context
• Respect intellectual property rights of all members

4. Intellectual Property

Your Content: You retain all rights to content, ideas, and projects you share within the RowadX community. By sharing, you grant RowadX a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to feature your work in community showcases and promotional materials (with attribution).

RowadX Content: All RowadX branding, website content, design systems, and materials are the intellectual property of RowadX Community.

5. RowadHacks & Events

Participation in RowadHacks and other RowadX events is subject to:

• Separate event-specific rules and guidelines announced before each event
• All code and projects created during hackathons remain the intellectual property of their creators
• RowadX may feature winning projects in promotional materials with creator consent
• Prize distribution is at the sole discretion of the judging panel

6. Chapter Organizers

Community organizers (“Chapter Leads”) operate as independent volunteers under the RowadX framework. By applying to lead a chapter, you agree to uphold the RowadX Code of Conduct and community standards.

7. Limitation of Liability

RowadX provides its services “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of our services.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless RowadX, its organizers, chapter leads, and affiliates from any claims, damages, expenses, or losses arising from your use of our services or violation of these Terms.

9. Privacy

Your use of RowadX services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to RowadX services at any time, with or without cause. Provisions regarding intellectual property, limitation of liability, and indemnification survive termination.

11. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which RowadX is registered. Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through good-faith negotiation, followed by binding arbitration if necessary.

12. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Your continued use of RowadX services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
